Help us protect animals from being hunted this season

Up and down the country, illegal hunting activity is taking place. The League is appealing for your support to help protect the animals affected and bring the law breakers to justice.
It's a sad fact that protecting innocent animals comes at a high price. To help us win the fight against illegal fox hunting, we need to raise funds to purchase essential evidence-gathering equipment and your support is vital. In order for our dedicated team of hunt investigators to be able to capture footage to build a case to help prosecute hunters breaking the law, we need to provide the right equipment. And this can be expensive.
For example, a robust camcorder costs £300; a body camera £150. And it costs up to £6,500 for a long-range HD camera that can capture the damning footage of a fox being illegally torn apart. The evidence obtained from one of these cameras led to two convictions last year. Add long-life batteries, tapes, tripods, radios and specialist hidden cameras to this list of surveillance essentials and the figure to fully equip a five-person investigation unit comes to over £13,000.
With the hunting season now in full swing we need to act now. The sooner you can make your donation the better. Think of all the defenceless animals we're working on your behalf to protect. Please give whatever you can.
You can donate securely online by credit card, by post or by telephone on: 01483 524 250.

Throughout hunting seasons the League receives intelligence primarily through its monitoring operations and Hunt Crimewatch (HCW) service. HCW operates a dedicated, confidential phone line (Tel. 01483 524 250) offering anonymity to anyone calling with information concerning hunting activity and an online facility for reporting information to the League. If you witness any hunting incidents in your area, please report it.
